best real short shift kit?

I'm looking to do a short shifter kit for my 02 GT-2, my car has only 9500 original miles 100% bone stock and it'll stay that way. It's a perfect street car not too fast and and not too slow I'm thinking a nice short shifter will make it more enjoyable to row gears. I have a CAE on my fully built 03 996 tt and that's a bliss. What's out there that's appropriate and not too radical? Thanks

s65e90 is infamous around these parts
Numeric. Nothing else comes close. All solid metal, no plastic.

I find the 997.2 gt3 shifter the perfect length. Added bonus, it's a Porsche part.

BTW You will enjoy the benefits of a short shifter every mile you drive! I know I do.

GT2 already has 25% shorter shift action than a TT from the factory...

The shift action is shortened at the gearbox on all the GT2/3 cars via the much shorter non-counter weighed 996Cup selector lever. It's a $100 part that can be installed on all TT gearboxes (case has to be removed for install). Totally transforms the feel of the gearbox for the better. If you've had your gearbox rebuilt at some point and this part was not installed, you've been short changed.

The stock 996TT/GT2 shifter is still mediocre, 997.2 GT3RS shifter is much better and a cheap upgrade for the 6GT cars. You can also add the 997GT3 shift **** which is about 1/2" shorter further improving feel. Go drive a 7.2GT2RS, the gearbox shift action is sublime, drastically better than the 996 cars. All a sum of the parts.

that's kind of depressing i wish i'd known. but the old 997ssk is livable though i'd much rather a numeric.

I prefer the Porsche OEM SSK either from 997TT or from .2 GT3 especially if you want to keep that car OEM+

got the part numbers for that? lol

I think in my old 03, I installed a 997 ssk, but I know it wasn't a .2 gt3 RS ssk. Im assuming that is even shorter than the "regular" 997 ssk? thanks for the help!
