Base is 260k, but you are required to get Ceramic brakes for the next few months so thats like ~20k. 6speeds are delayed so you are also required to get f1-superfast so thats probably another 7-10k. The stock wheels suck so everyone is specing stradale style wheels which is 7500. Monza Red Paint which is the red metallic in the advertising photos is currently $19,600. So when you hear a car go for 400-500 it probably has a 300-325k MSRP.

i had the opportunity to meet Stefan Roser in Germany last September. For those of you unfamiliar with the name, you've probably seen his antics going sideways in the now famous "Faszination" video featuring the Ruf CTR "Yellowbird" at the Nurburgring Nordschleife. his flamboyant driving style has earned him the nickname "Sideways Stefan".
more recently, he was flogging a blue RT12 at the 'Ring, in a video that is all over YoutTube.
Beyond that, he is now in-charge of one of the big German TV motoring shows-- i can never remember if its Sport Auto TV or Auto Motor Und Sport TV or whatever. he basically gets to test all the new supercars.
what does all this have to do with the 599? He told me that in his estimation, there is no better supercar on the market today, than the 599. Grip, power, handling, ride, technology-- everything. He said the LP640 is nice, but no cigar, next to the 599.
one other thing he said which i couldn't forget-- "i'm a Porsche man... and I think Walter Rohrl tried his best... but I have to admit the Enzo is a better car than the Carrera GT"

We are looking at both and bang for the buck the Jeep seems like a nice buy.
1) towing capacity of the Cayenne
2) off-road performance of the Cayenne (Jeep is useless at that)
3) this is obvious, but luxury of the Cayenne
the jeep-- like all GC's before it, is a bit on the snug side for an SUV. strictly 4 full size adults. and the ride is fine if you're driving, but passengers will find it a bit bouncy, compared I think to a CTT with the air springs (though i've heard the coils on the Cayenne are pretty bad too).
performance... i'll be running the Jeep against my friend's CTT from a roll to around 150mph. both are stock. will post the video as soon as we get around to it.
the Jeep's my daily driver. LOVE it. (sorry for the hijack)
