Can You Identify a Vehicle Just by its Headlights at Night?

When I was driving home last night in my GT-R, just before I took an exit from the highway, a vehicle came up behind pretty fast. I took the exit and this vehicle did, too. I stepped on it a bit on the exit, which was twisty. I didn't give it my all, but what I did should have left most other vehicles with a little more distance behind me. This vehicle, while it didn't gain on me, either stayed at the same pace, or perhaps dropped back just a notch. Since it was dark I couldn't make out the vehicle. The headlights were a bit different/unique, though. They were a set of two lights abreast each other on each side, roundish, but the outer lights on either side had an almost a dark/black vertical line/metal piece approximately one quarter from the edge in. Does this sound familiar to anyone? As I was at my destination by then, and we were traffic restricted, I didn't get a chance to see the other vehicle.

the only ones I'm able to take are police cars ( they have a unique look and still use lamps for headlights)

I can always spot a truck... especially when I'm in the Lotus.

No, not the CTS-V, ATS-V, or CTS VSport. The headlight assembly was wider and more narrow.

Now that's gonna be tough. They're right about the poilce cars and truck. Those are easy to tell.
