Ok its time to set up another meet and then a poker run. I think the next official meet should be on sunday September 6th. This gives everyone plenty time to plan and be ready to show up and have a great time. Hopfully the weather holds up and we can do a little run again. Just like last time meet up at hooters between 10:30 and 11:00, hang out for a few hours and then go for a spirted drive with locations to be determinded later.
Now onto a more organized and fun event that i have in the works. Me and my business partner have come up with an idea to host a poker run with the help of hooters. I think the date should be the off week for the saints, which is october 11th. I still need to finalize everything with our promotions department, but it should be no problem at all since it has been in the works for our bike night participants.
If anyone has any info they need to suggestions for anything let me know. Also let me know how these dates work for everyone. We can start doing a weekly meet if yall would like, but i would have to be garunteed 15 cars every sunday to block off the front of the resturant. If its gets bigger than that then i can block off more as needed.

If you want to include the Northshore in this run, since there is no Hooters over here, I would gladly volunteer our business (The Spaceport) as a stop. Lots of parking and can reserve spots in front. www.spaceportfuncenter.com (I could even comp a round of Laser Tag for the group as an activity)
the route for the poker run is already set. it will have 5 stops at all the hooters in southeastern louisiana. how does this sunday coming up sound for a meet up before football season kicks off

Spaceport... not to exclude your idea, but the run is a little long with 5 hooters locations. We will gladly work with you later on a new run. We can possibly do this run again at a later date for those not able to join this this time around.

i picked that date for the run because that is the off week for the saints it will be easier to set up that way because hooters is already busy with the saints games. i figure it would help out due to the off week
Is there a "run" this weekend or does this weekend only consist of a "car show" at Hooters?
There seems to be some confusion (might just be me) about exactly whats taking place this weekend...
Joshua, "car show" is a very very loose term.. it's more like a group of car guys gathering, staring at each others cars, and meet on the common ground that we are all car enthusiasts.. All types of cars showed up to the one I made it to last time. I'd be up for a little run around the lake though after if I make it out there

Not to derail the thread... but I'm definitely coming to see your place. The putt putt looks like a blast. My little girl is going to love it. I have seen a red porsche on the right side of KMart. It's in that mall, correct?
Now, back on topic.. I think I will try to squeeze this get-together in for the weekend. Had a good time last time...
