I've heard nothing but good things about them. Not HD, but for $200 or however cheap they are, they work great. Most people I know opted for the wide-angle, for what that's worth.
+1 for the GoPro. I have been using one for 4 track days and I love it. It comes with a good assortment of mounts but the suction cup one works the best. Look on ebay you can pick up new ones (usually form motorcycle dealers) for $140 to $160 brand new.
Looks great. What has your experience been with the mic?

I found one for $136 shipped. Thanks for the reminder!
Great camera. Used it for 2 years. The problems I found are 1- little to no sound comes thru the waterproof mount, 2- battery does not last onlu 3 runs of 20 min each 3- very tricky user interphase. You may want to also look into very small sd chip video cameras on sale @ BesBuy.
If you remove the white rubber seal from the back of the weatherproof case, you will get better sound quality. Just remember that by doing so it no longer makes the unit weatherproof.
I have one also. The biggest complaint I have is that the sound does not come through the case very well. I actually drilled a few small holes in the case over the mic area on the camera. That didn't do anything. I'll try removing the rubber seal. I don't plan on taking it diving, so water proof isn't an issue for me.
