Im pretty sure they are too inflated for my driving style because of the tread wear, but my dash says they are 36-40ish. Ive heard the dash being as much as 5lbs off though.

Yes, the TPM system is not sufficiently accurate to use in place of a manual guage. I can't see the photos in sufficent detail to respond, but, if the tires are over-inflated, you will see excessive wear in the center portion of the tire, assuming no alignment issues. 40 pounds at operating temperature should not cause such problems.
Yes, but they all show just the outside edge, not the entire cross-tread area. Just measure the tread. If the tire is wearing more in the center, that usually indicates too much pressure. Under-inflation usually wears both inner and outer edges. Of course, alignment and driving style affects the wear pattern too. I expect you would have to be in the upper 40's to see premature wear from over-inflation.
