996 TT After market audio upgrades?

Hello.

My partner and I are currently peeking at a 2001 996 TT. I am a bit of a snob when it comes to the electronics in the car and this vehicle comes with the lowest OEM spec unit. I was wondering what the preferred upgrade unit/vendor for Porsche or the 996 seems to be?

I am mainly looking for good Navigation integration and ipod/iphone integration. Thank you very much and I did search but did not find anything too conclusive.

Any thoughts/opinions re: the new Sony/TomTom unit XNV-770T? I have a 2002 996TT with the Nav system. The new Sony units are released on Nov 1, I think, and my cousin works for Sony so I can get one for a really good price. Just wondering if they're considered any good. Also, would the trip computer functions in the stock PCM unit work with the new head unit? I assume not, but maybe...?

It seems like alot of ppl go with the Pioneer AVIC units...?

I have this in my F150 and love it. I can't say anything bad about it. I'm also thinking of putting one in my 996TT.
