I have a Bulgari that was my first "expensive" watch purchase. I have the Ergon w/leather strap and have used it as a daily wearer for over 4 years now, it still looks great. I'm just not a fan of most of their other watches since the BVLGARI lettering is so huge. I like the Tag Carrera in that price range, personally.

I strongly considered an Oris myself and ended up with an Omega Seamaster auto. I think over time I will be happy with that decision. Their reputation is excellent.

The Tag Carrera Calibre 16 looks good too.
I really like this one too. I am looking for another timepiece.

Anyone know if you can get a stainless bracelet in addition to the leather that comes with this to interchange once in awhile? I know they have a stainless version, but would be nice if you could have both options.

Many other watches I am not a fan of like many on the forums apparently like. As far as Chronos are concerned, Breitling and a few others are worthless to look at, unless you really need a slide rule, which 99.99% don't. Some look cluttered and busy, hence why I like the IWC pilot above, the Tag Carrera Day-Date is nice also, probably the same movement in both from the looks.

Thanks

Oris makes some solid watches for the price. For those of you who want something simpler, how about a Sinn U1? They're fun and very cheap.

There's a good review of them here: (no relation)

I also like the look of Kobolds, though I've never owned one.
