New Acquisition - Super Avenger (Diamond Bezel)

Well, for the past two years I've had my eye on the Breitling Super Avenger with the diamond bezel. I have an IWC 3714 (Portuguese) and the reliable Rolex sub, but I wanted something to compliment those pieces. The IWC is a nice "work watch"--understated, professional, and classy. The Rolex sub is a tank obviously, always worn when I'm doing outdoors type stuff, whether that is hiking, working on the yard, etc.

As I always say, you can take me out the ghetto, but you can't take the ghetto outta me, he he. Accordingly, I wanted a watch with some bling that I can wear while playing poker, nights out on the town, etc. Thus the Super Avenger with the diamonds. I've tried it on numerous times for the past few years, but I just couldn't pull the trigger. The trigger was the wife - she declined my suggestion that we get a boat lol. Ok...no boat, then I can put some boat money into a new watch.

I considered going online, but I was too scared due to the horror stories. It doesn't help that when I visited the Breitling site to do my research, a pop-up comes up that warns people that 99% of the Breitlings online are fakes lol. Regardless, I wanted a Breitling warranty (plus the store I bought it from adds a year to it). My IWC has broken down twice, therefore happy that I had the warranty.

I wanted 35% off from what the store was offering it for, but I ended up at 25%. I would have liked that extra 10% off, especially since it has a 2008 dial (barely any difference from 09), so rather than haggle more, I bought it. No buyer remorse whatsoever!

Anyways, here are some pics (not that great - in a rush and couldn't set up my ghetto fab watch photo studio). Sure some people will love it, and some will hate it, but oh well, I love it, and that's what matters!. I like the blue face over the white face because it tones down the diamonds somewhat (the white face with diamonds screams bling bling).

Thanks. The piece is definitely different, but I wanted something that compliments my small collection. I'll admit, the Big Pilot was tempting, but I already have an IWC. The blue face really downplays the diamonds quite a bit. A friend called it my "Randy Jackson" watch (the American Idol dude who is always rockin' the gigantic bling watches). Another friend said people will think I play for the Seattle Seahawks ROFL (i.e., black dude getting out of an AMG with a big ass diamond watch on, he he).

I need to win a big lawsuit so I can get the Patek next.

It is heavy as hell, so need to get used to it.

Love it!

I've got the same watch, minus the diamond bezel.

I've been eyeing up the diamond bezel for mine but I keep thinking it will be a bit too much Blang Blang.

Not a bad watch but I hope your title of "husky" isn't an exaggeration! It's so sad to see smaller guys wearing huge watches.
