I use that site to browse watches, but it was just suggested to me by a member of another board to buy from them. This other member has bought a few watches there and was blown away by how quick and professional the servicing was...
I was goIng to buy from an AD but have no problems buying bigger items online (I bought wifey's engagement ring from bluenile.ca).
Anyone on here dealt with Authenticwatches.com?

do a search on here, there have been several threads on the topic. many have had good experiences from them. that being said armed with their prices you could approach an AD and try to get them to match or beat authentic watches price.
Thanks guys... I did some further searching and found that most have had great experiences, but there are a few negative stories. They do have great ebay feedback with over 1,000 transaction ratings.
The one thing I don't like is that the Certificate of Authenticity comes from the vendor and not the manufacturer.
Their price on the watch I'm shopping is $2,475 and I have an AD offering me for $2,700. I think I'll see if the AD will throw in a extra band for the $2,700 and I'll just pull that trigger.

just an FYI... the negative reviews come from people not understanding that the watch is gray market and what that means in terms of the warranty, IE its a authenticwatches warranty not an OEM warranty as is was not bought from an AD... I have never seen any review stating that a watch was fake.
On a side note manufactures nor store warranties cover impact issues which is were most watches near repair. That being said I have never had to have any of my 5 watches be repaired, all but one came from an AD.
Also shop around different ADs, you will be able to find one who will match AW's price.
liquidassets,
do a search of this section of 6spd.

Yeah, I did and read the reviews. Appreciate it. No offense to anyone on 6S, but their BBB rating is poor enough to make you look past a handful of good reviews on an internet forum - at least in my opinion.
Plenty of other good, reputable sellers online to look at as well. Not trashing authenticwatches. at all, just saying that online there are always tons of options. For a Tag, you should be able to find a reasonable enough price at an AD local to you as well.
Yup, like others have said, for the few hundred, just get from AD...

Don't have time to dig through links, but there were quite a few posts from people saying they have purchased multiple times and were satisfied.
Obviously if you've got their BBB rating and it's poor - that speaks volumes compared to a few positive posts on web forums.
As the last posted mentioned, for $200-$300 I'll go to an AD. If I can get a spare band thrown in it will just make the deal sweeter!
The watch I'm buying is a Tag Carrera Day Date with white face. MSRP is $3,700USD.
Another thing you can try if to call an AD in another province that sells Tag...
Get them to match or beat the discount price you get from your local AD, but with the benifit of tax savings (ex. if you buy it from an AD in Alberta, you only get charged 5% GST because they dont have PST there....of if you buy in BC, you will only get charged 5% GST and save 7% on GST because they are shipping it out of province)
another option would be to hit Gill "the watch collector" up. He has a fantastic reputation and his prices are reasonable.
I thought of this, but I read a post from him somewhere saying he doesn't carry Tag... I'll hit him up for my 2nd watch if it's baller enough!

GL!
I'm going to buy from the States because the CDN pricing is way too much...

Canadian pricing is a lot...but you can easily get a tag for 25-30% off retail if you can get in touch with the right AD...
And at 25-30% off with only 5% tax (you still need to pay your 12% if you buy it from the states) you will be paying roughly the same price...maybe within 100 or 200 at max...well worth it IMO
