Thoughts on the Panerai for Ferrari line?

Wondering what folks think of the Ferrari watches vs the Panerai lineup. It seems to me that the Ferrari watches do not hold their value as well as the Panerai lineup.

But if you like them, get one second hand and save huge...
As a watch, i'm sure the quality is up there on par with the normal panerai line..

Whoring of the Ferrari name from shoes, to clothes, and watches is a crime. While I admire the style of the Ferrari watches (Panerai) or the shoes (Puma), slapping on a Ferrari scuderia on them makes it look utterly stupid(just my opinion, of course). Don't know which is more lame: actually owning a Ferrari and the stamped merchandise or a wanna-be owner and having the cheesy logo'd apparel.

aweld20 is on a distinguished road
Also discontinued.. discounted minimum 50% that I have seen

And I don't own a Ferrari (yet), so I have nothing to match it with

But if you love it then go for it!

I keep see sawing back and forth on the them. I really like the looks of a few of the models and have seen new ones going really cheap on ebay. But something seems to be keeping me from pulling the trigger and I end up deciding to wait and put my money towards something I find more desirable. I think I will continue to look for a nice Graham Chronofighter 41mm, a Radiomir GMT, or maybe a 1950 flyback chrono. Decisions decisions.
