Rolex, Panerai, IWC among many others...

If you're thinking something big like a Uboat/BR, there are a load of Panerai models that will fit into your budget...

If you're not a fan of Panerai, tell us more about some details of what you're looking for...
Hey thanks for all the great advices. Im not actually looking into buying a used watch. Since this will be my first real watch, i just want to get a new one.

I looked into IWC they look really nice, but i feel like its more of an older person type of watch. Something that I would get down the road.
Do they have anything geared more towards the younger generation? Something not very traditional, but still classy?

Without I doubt, I believe that someones first real watch should be a Rolex, but in my case. My dad already has the stainless steel one. Its the GMT one with the red arrow (sorry im not familiar with model names). I wear his watch often, i would say about 3 times a week. But we both agreed that it was time for me to get my own watch now.

Before you guys start flaming on how spoiled i am and what kind of parent would be a kind such a nice watch. I was fortunate enough to have parents, that worked hard and were able to provide me with things most people wont be able to have it in their lifetime. And YES im grateful to have parents that were able to provide me with a healthy and luxurious lifestyle. But they taught me how to be humble. I dont go out spending their money, because they dont actually give me any. And I work (not for them).
Also my entire family has a tradition of getting their parents old watch when they turn either 16 or 18. Usually the watch is 10 to 15 years old by then, but my Dad got 4 of his watches stolen in the past 6 years. So his current watches are less than 5 years old. So there is no point of him giving me his Rolex, if he is just gonna buy the same exact model for himself. So we will be "sharing" this watch.

Thanks for all the great information Guys!

Check out the IWC Aquatimer, both sporty and young.

Also check out Omega Planet Ocean and Speedmaster

This is one of my faves too but its considered more a jewelry piece than a connoisseur watch

I actually went to a watch store today. And looked at some bylgaris, rolex, choppards, breitlings , panerais. I was surprised that i liked the bvlgaris a lot, and the choppard.

I saw a choppard that was very similar to the one above. Same everything except for the "thing" in the bottom part. I think the mrsp was closed to 5800. And we were able to buy it for 3900 cash.

What do you guys think? Im gonna look at some hublots, and im really falling in love with the audemar piguet royal oak. Maybe ill get my dad to him a new watch. So i can wear it. haha

You will have to up your budget quite a bit to get into Hublot and AP... IMO AP is far superior to Hublot. But shearly because of the price tag neither read young to me.

The Chopard Gran Turismo XL is sweet...

You might as well go somewhere like www.swissreplicastore.com and get about 5 of your top choices, then when you get them, wear each for a while and THEN go spend the big money on a real one if you must.

Chopard all the way! I honestly think they make some of the coolest looking and yet still quality watches. There are alot of other watches that are high quality but will not fit for a 19 yr old.
