I bought one for $70 a few years ago, it's one of my knockarounds, like a casio. Something cheap, and not worth a second thought if you break it or smash it into something (I don't wear really nice watches to knockaround in--some do, and I'm not bashing that, I just wear my nicer stuff in non-destructive environments). I hadn't seen one other than on latenight infomercials and e-commerce sites until last year. I was sitting across the poker table at Bellagio from a couple of well-kept women (diamonds and gold everywhere), and they were both wearing invicta watches with large faces and diamond bezels (weird to see that mix with real jewelry). I think they market to the general public who just wants something that looks decent but isn't expensive, and is also easy to buy (online or infomercial). Not for serious watch appreciation, just for low-cost fashion accessories. Similar to lower-priced department store watches both in quality and catchet. Nothing more. Probably not crap quality, but certainly not better than any other lower-priced novelty/accessory watch.
For the same money, there are other brands that do offer good quality. I like some of the Swiss Army, Oris, Hamilton and Seiko watches below $1000. I also saw some great-looking Momo automatic watches last year that I posted about. I also have an Oakley GMT that I wear often.
They started out as a "fake" Rolex wannabe with their design and then branched out. POS to this day.

i agree with the rolex knock offs. they still have one or two models with a swiss movement of some sort. forget which one exactly. most of the rolex knock offs have a japanese automatic movement and are closere to $100.
i looked at them briefly when i was looking for a "cool" field watch but went with the bernhardt instead. at least the latter has a distinctive look and is made independently... i also agree with the rest of the comments but from what i have seen some of the forums, people swear by the swiss movement rolex knock off...
Invicta watches are pretty much crap but they still have a couple of interesting watches. I came across this one a while back and if it wasn't an Invicta, I would probably get one. It actually has a Valjoux 7751 movement and I believe it's very similar to the 7750 that is used in watches like Breitling, Omega, Sinn etc. I might be mistaken but I think Valjoux is owned by ETA? A little busy but not bad looking. The funny thing is that even @ a discounted price of $2500, this thing is pretty much sold out at most places.
i would never pay $2,500 for an invicta. i looked at one of the cheap "swiss heart" rolex look-a-like at about $300 and even at that it did not represent a value.
the only props i give to invicta is for making left handed watches. basically watches for people who wear them on their right hand with the crowns on the other side of a normal watch. big ups for that.
