Anymore it has become a bit of "hunt and peck" to get the best deal. Many online retailers are out there now. Some are cheaper than others altogether, some just initially. It's important to do your homework. Questions to ask:

1. Do they charge sales tax?
2. Do they have in stock?
3. If not, how long to get them?
4. How much is freight?
5. Is there a service or handling fee?
6. Do they come by common carrier or by truck? If truck they may not deliver residential.
7. If you have a warranty issue like an out of round tire will the retailer stand behind the product and help you get the issue resolved? If the seller just refers you to the manufacturer, good luck.
8. Can they ship the tires directly to an installer near you so you don't have to mess with them?

Some things to think about. We've been in business 30 years, have full customer service on everything we sell and can have anything we have in stock to you in 2 days or less. Plus, I'm at your service for any questions you may have.

The point is to just do your research first and don't be fooled by "free shipping" or "buy three get one free". Tire sales is a low margin industry in the end there is almost always no such thing.

Damon is 100% correct, anybody shopping online definitely needs to do their research when it comes to buying tires over the internet. People just need to make sure that when dealing with any online company, it pays to be careful. That is one reason at www.treadepot.com, we started accepting Paypal as a form of payment. This is probably one of the safest ways to shop online.

Contact City Tire Online (www.citytireonline.com), they are in LA and they do a lot of racing and drifting applications. They have great discounts for certain motorsports groups and....

MAKE SURE to tell them you were referred by a professional Porsche racedriver called "MrWhite", they will give you a great deal.

It is your choice if they will SEND tires to you, OR mount + balance them at their shop (right off I-710) while you're waiting. They also know everything about what compound you need, what brands are best in certain models and years, how the different tires feel, b/c they have a very tight relationship with most manufacturers and more importantly, a huge and loyal array of motorsports drivers talking to them about their experiences with different cars on different tires, and also they have a selected line-up of very skilled drivers in different cars and race&drift leagues that give them feedback everytime a new tire come out from a different tire manufacturer.

If you're in LA, and NOT using City Tire, you're going to the wrong place.

If you're NOT in LA, you should still give City Tire a call as they do ship tires and wheels across the whole country.

These guys LIVE tires, 100% no bs place and not trying to rip you off.
