The Grand Prix of Baltimore truly was a race of attrition. The field did not even make it to the start/finish line, before a massive crash took out half of the GT class. The race was shortened as safety crews worked feverishly to clear the debris from the front straight. Scott Tucker, in the P2 […] More »
Wait, I thought they stopped making Veyrons? Oh, I guess they are still milking out a few “legend” versions, and the latest is the Bugatti Legend “Jean Bugatti,” which pays tribute to the son of the company’s founder, who also deigned the Type 57SC Atlantic. Jean’s personal 57SC was all black and was called the “La Voiture Noire,” so […] More »
My French sucks and Google translate is somewhat lacking… But it sounds like someone rented this R8 for a wedding, spent a bunch of time revving the hell out of it, and then it burst into flames. It will be interesting to see how the competition responds … we feel World War III is looming, with Ferrari […] More »
Ferrari has finally pulled the covers off their more sporting interpretation of the 458: The Ferrari 458 Speciale. Thankfully, in Ferrari-speak, “more sporting” actually means more than carbon fiber accents and fancy paint. The 458 Speciale is special because it’s seriously quick. The 458’s 4.5 liter v8 is being pushed quite a bit harder, with a new horsepower rating of 597 horsepower. On a good day, that number is probably more like 600. They’ve also shaved off 200 lbs of weight. More power. Less weight. You see where this is going right?
The Porsche 911 Turbo S is like the Hometown Buffet of the 991 lineup. It offers a little bit of everything, mixing the comfort of a GT car with a racy disposition that, at moments, may give you the feeling you’re in a GT3, but because it’s not a GT3, it can afford to have […] More »
