Porsche 911 Sydney Harbour Bridge Crossing Home

At 440 feet from top to water level, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, built from 1923 to 1932, is the world’s tallest steel-arch bridge. Out of respect for the landmark, I’m using the Australian spelling of “harbor”. In 2010 my daily commute involved a northbound drive across the Sydney Harbour Bridge in Holdens, Nissans, Škodas, Renaults and more, but I never made the crossing in a Porsche 911 like the folks you are about to see in the video below.

Leading the 106-strong army of Porsches was the Porsche Museum’s “Around the World 911” we showed you at Pebble Beach in August. It took three months to plan this Porsche Harbour Bridge crossing, as a lane had to be shut down for the event. More than $15-million-worth of 911s crossed the Sydney Harbour Bridge, making the average per-car value $141,509.
