Now here’s one for those who enjoy Porsche’s older, more simple era. This blue footed beauty is a Carrera 2.7RS, in amazing condition, and like all things on hexagon’s website, up for sale to the highest bidder.

Whenever you invest on an aircoolled Porsche like this, it’s a little bit different from owning a newer model. Of course, they don’t preform with mechanical and sytactic accuracy that you can get from a 991, but they do offer something else: Rawness. While the 911 has been improved and refined over the decades, cars like this are time capsules of technology. The pages of the calendar might have changed, but the driving experience, the sound of air-cooled flat-six, the lithe and nimble handling of a 2,300 lb sports car, that iconic ducktail spoiler; this is a driving experience that you just can’t get anywhere else but in a Porsche.

You wouldn’t do to bad to have this one either. As an RS, it’s pretty bare bones inside, but it’s complete.  As with most cars from hexagon, this one has a well documented history. It’s creation was commissioned by oil giant BP back in 1972. The current owner bought it from them and has kept it in perfect condition for the last 33 years. No expenses spared.

The price depends on who’s asking I suppose. If you’re interested you can check out the listing here. Otherwise, join me in oogling at the gallery for this very clean classic 911.
