And the winner of the 2013 24 Hours of LeMans is…
Talk of Toyota spoiling the race at LeMans for Audi was prevalent in the months and weeks leading up to this year’s race. The talk never came to fruition as Audi dominated the field to take the win at the Circuit La Sarthe.
Tom Kristensen, Allan McNish and Loic Duval were the three men who took the win in commanding fashion.
Kristensen won for a ninth time at Lemans. McNish for his third. Duval put the R-18 E-Tron Quattro on pole position for the LMP1 class. And Audi has won the very demanding endurance race for the 12th time in 14 tries.
Second place was the afromention Toyota Ts030 of former F1 drivers Anthony Davidson, Sabastian Buemi and Stephane
Sarrazin.
