Bill Gates 911 Turbo Going to Auction

Bill Gates is no stranger to Porsche’s, being the first person to import the then legendary 959 into the US. Before that, the owned a 1979 Porsche 911 Turbo, which has now found it’s way to auction in Austria.

He’s the worlds most wealthy and famous computer nerd, sure, but a little known fact is that he was also a bit of a speed demon in his younger days. While he still located in Alburquerque, New Mexico, he was a notorious speeder. In fact, once he was arrested after getting three speeding tickets on the same night. That wasn’t this Porsche, but it’s an interesting fact about regardless.

The car will cross the block next month, with estimates for the car hovering between the $55,500 and $71,000.
