The action was fast and intense for the ALMS at Monterey Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Pit strategies and restarts played rolls in all classes, but it was the on-track expertise and a few daring passes that kept the race exciting and close to the finish.

In P1 the unstoppable powerhouse of Lucas Luhr and Klaus Graf took their second win at Monterey for Muscle Milk Pickett Racing. Luhr made an amazing pass in the infamous, downhill, Corkscrew turn to secure the win. Team Rebellion Motorsports was not able to reclaim the lead after a left front puncture resulted in an unscheduled stop. The Delta wing team finished Thirty second overall yet the team was pleased with their abilities to overcome the difficulties they experienced in their 2013 debut.

The P2 class saw Scott Tucker pull a double stint starting in the number 551 car and finishing the race in the number 552 Honda Performance Development ARX-03b resulting in a One-Two finish for the Level 5 Motorsports team.

In GT, Corvette Racing claimed the victory in a finish that saw the top five cars all cross the line within three seconds of each other. The cautions helped keep the class pretty close on the track which resulted in the lead Corvette never having more than a five second advantage over the second place car.

In The Continental Tire PC class the number 52 car of Mike Guasch and Luis Diaz found their Mathiasen Motorsports HPD in victory lane despite early contact with the GT class Risi Ferrari.

The GTC category saw three of the cautions brought out by Flying Lizard Motorsports cars taking off-track excursions. NGT Motorsports had a much more rewarding weekend with their second consecutive win this season. Patrick Dempsey managed a fourth podium finish of his career with a second place finish.

The next round of the 2013 ALMS season will be on July 6th for the American Le Mans Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock.
