We have so many questions about this Porsche 993 GT2 body kit.

Los Angeles hosts a great variety of car enthusiasts, with means and budgets of all sorts. So it comes as no surprise that our local Craigslist tends to be filled with a lot of cool stuff packed into a relatively dense area. While taking a cursory browse through CL this morning, I found something truly unique. People in the office all had very different takes on this one.

For sale in Santa Monica is a Porsche 993 GT2 EVO body kit, bonded to what looks like the body of a 930. As per the seller, this is a GT2 body kit. It’s not specified of these are OEM panels or not, but judging on the panel gaps, I’m guessing not. It features a very aggressive 993 GT2 EVO III front fascia, widened quarter panels, a 993 molded roof(?), the skirts and the rear bumper. Our seller is asking $3500 for the entire lot. However, many questions abound.

Is the 930 hiding under the 993 GT2 skin also along for the ride? The word choice of “body kit” says no, but when a “molded roof” is included in the sale, it makes me think that someone can acquire the whole thing. Is this kit made for a 993 to replicate the GT2 look? That fact it’s sitting atop a 930 has us quite confused.  Perhaps this is an update kit to give a classic 930 a GT2 look. If that is the case, the shoddy panel gaps actually lead us into another set of questions.

This is all wonderfully bizarre. Below is a screenshot of the full ad [Link here], in case it is taken down:
