Dealer Presentation Leaks Upcoming Porsche Model Info

Someone’s been bad by disseminating photos from a Porsche dealer briefing, but that’s good news for you and me because knowledge is power, so let’s juice up on some info.

We’ll begin with the Porsche 911 Targa: expect to see it debut at the Detroit Auto Show. The leaked photos (you can see them on Jalopnik) show a car that looks similar in function to the original Targas with lift-out roofs, but the pictured slides describe the car as having a “fully automatic roof”. It will be interesting to see how that technology works when the car debuts.

Now for some Porsche Macan engine talk: the Cayenne’s little brother will debut at the Los Angeles Auto show with a 3.0L V6 powering the $52,000 Macan S and a 3.6L V6 powering the $75,000 Macan Turbo.

Rounding out the info leak is news about the GTS versions of the Porsche Boxster and Cayman. The leaked info states these GTS models will get a 15-horsepower bump over their S versions. The Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS will retail for around $75,000, and will make their debuts in Beijing next April.
