Air-cooled Porsches are just never going to get old. They might get older, but the thrill of a lightweight, revvy, rear-engined car that kinda wants to kill you is never going to get boring. We know that Singer gets it.  BBi Autosport seems to get it too.

The car is a 1985 Carrera that has, essentially, had the enitre parts bin thrown at it. When your average garage mechanic tries to do this, the end result is normally a fast car that handles horribly. But in the case of BBi, their garage has already wracked up plenty of experience with late model Porsches. BBi’s car isn’t that “fast” per say — It only makes 275 horsepower — but it makes up for it with lightweight and extremely sharp handling. Matt says it’s like a GT3, if Porsche built GT3s in the 80s.

It doesn’t hurt that the car is heartrendingly gorgeous. The retro HREs and red paint are pretty much perfect. There’s no interior to speak of, but hey, this is a track car that just happens to be driven in public. Ain’t nobody got time for that.
