Melt as You Hear a Ferrari 250 GTO Roar Through the Countryside
The Ferrari 250 GTO is for many reasons one of the most important cars in the world, ever. Not only is it arguably the most expensive car in the planet having sold privately for over $50 million Euro, but it’s also a design, performance, and racing icon.
Petrolicious always makes great YouTube productions, but this one featuring, Derek Hill, son of one of the inaugural Ferrari 250 GTO racing driver, Phill Hill (who is also a Formula One world champ) is simply beautifully put together, and it really tells a deep story of love for motor racing, and love for the Italian prancing horse.
The sound that this scarlet red machine produces from its 4.0 liver naturally-aspirated V12 motor is simply outstanding, and hands-down one of the most enchanting engine sounds any internal combustion engine will ever produce. Some say that it’s even gotten better with age, which I don’t doubt.
