Here’s The Quickest Way To Get Kicked Off A Race Track

By -

If you’re going to get kicked off a track, do it with a cool car and a friend.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Thermal Club, imagine the race track equivalent to Equinox. And if you’re not familiar with Equinox, it’s basically the fanciest gym you can have a membership with. Starting to get the picture? As indicated in the name, the Thermal Club is a private race track located in Thermal, CA – a few miles south-east of Indio. If your pockets are deep enough you’ll have access pretty much all year long to one of the three available race tracks inside the private facility.

Say you and your buddy are both huge car enthusiasts and both of you just happen to be off of work during the middle of the week. Can you think of a better place to drive to and get in a few hot laps in? And since we’re playing pretend, the two cars of choice for you and your mate is a Porsche 911 R and 918 Spyder. However, you both aren’t down to pay the crazy amount of cash for the annual membership so you decide to blow the gate at the entrance. Since you’re already there, might as well go all out before you get escorted off the premises.

If you’ve ever been on a race track with virtually no other cars in sight, it’s truly one of the most amazing moments to experience. It’s like shooting hoops in an indoor gym all by yourself – complete nirvana. To top if off, if you have another car to play around with to chase or be chased,   that’s when the fun really begins. The whole video reminds me of something straight out of Grand Theft Auto. Driving to a hidden oasis and having non-stop fun. Seems like the perfect way to play hooky.

Wait, there’s more!

And once you and your buddy are done getting in those hot laps, you can stop by the Club House to relax and grab a bite to eat while the cars are getting refueled and tires changed out at the social center. There are also villas available for members to stay at for extended stays, but that’s only for paying customers.

Thanks to HRE Wheels for sharing a video that makes us car lovers imagine such an awesome way to get kicked off a race track! What did you think of the ultimate Porsche Ferris Bueller’s Day Off? Let us know on the forum!
