“Every twenty years we like to take the engine out and just check everything over,” says Jay Leno as he stands in front of the engine of his McLaren F1. The 627 horsepower naturally aspirated V12 is an impressive setup–the whole drivetrain, including the transmission, weighs less than 500 pounds. He shows us the ultra compact $40,000 exhaust system.
