KTM Developing a GT3 Racer with Reiter Engineering
In the world of track day toys, one name stands out among the pack in terms of lunacy, and that’s KTM. Internationally known for their rather excellent motorcycles, KTM punched its way into the world of track day cars with the KTM X-Bow and hasn’t looked back since.
Now however, the company in partnership with Reiter Engineering is looking towards the future, and that future involves actual racing.
According to the press release, KTM has partnered with Reiter Engineering. These of course are the people behind the Gallardo GT3, Murcielago GT3 and Camaro GT3 purpose built racecars that have been championed across Europe. The partnership will include the company’s collaborating with one another on an X-Bow race with a full canopy to allow it to be internationally raced.
No word on how much the car will cost, or whether or not it will get FiA certified, but turning a track day car that’s already on the knife edge of lunacy into a full bred racer is definitely going to be interesting.
