There’s one thing that you can always count on Lamborghini for: Drama. And so the tradition of visually arresting cars continues with the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 roadster. Just in case you thought the hard top model was too demure.
In case of rain, sleet, or excessive sun on your bald spot, there is a two piece carbon fiber contraption that’ll span the gap if necessary. It’s unlikely that the missing top piece will affect the handling characteristics of the car much though, thanks to the car’s carbon fiber monocoque. Of course, the biggest plus of rolling around roofless is the sound of Aventador’s 6.5L V12. In fact, let’s give it listen.
That alone is probably worth the price of admission. Which is, admittedly, around $380,000. For that price you get a 0-60 time of 3 seconds, 700hp, a seven-speed single clutch gear box, and a top speed of 217mph. As a bonus, you get a car with more attitude and speed than nearly anything else on the road. Not a bad deal.
