Mark Webber Stops By Top Gear

My first post round these parts came back in March. Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber were at one another throat’s after Vettel disregarded team orders and passed Webber for the win in Malaysia.

In the time since then, Webber announced that he’ll call it a career in Formula 1 at season’s end. The Australian  signed a contract with Porsche to drive their new LMP1 and compete in the World Endurance Championship.

In the meantime, Webber still competes in the F1 and regularly scores points for Red Bull.  There’s certainly no love lost between him and his teammate Vettel and he makes that clear in his interview on BBC’s Top Gear. He’s funny, candid, and downright frank when chatting with Jeremy Clarkson, and then puts a laptime in with Top Gear’s Suzuki Liana. Before Webber makes his way around the Top Gear Circuit, Lewis Hamilton had the top time with Sebastian Vettel a close second.

Watch the interview below. By the end of it I’m sure you’ll have a new appreciation for Webber if you already didn’t have one. His personality will surely be missed from the grid net season.
