McLaren Targeting Porsche With 450hp P13

According to AutoBlog, McLaren is using the P1 as the basic platform. We should expect a de-tuned version of their 3.8-liter turbo that produces 450 horses. That will not be enough to outpace a Turbo 911, but, the car will likely be lighter thanks to the fact that it’s built from faeries bones, pixie dust, and carbon fiber. Also, the lack of an AWD system and hybrid technology will help save even more weight.

AutoBlog says it’ll run the average English rich guy £120,000 ($190,000). Part of that cost is because it’ll be super exclusive, especially in comparison to its competitors. Whether or not it’s worth it is up to you.
