The Lamborghini Murcielago SV May be the Best Sounding Lambo Ever
A vlogger known for his coverage of exotics brings us a delightful treat of not one, but two, rare Lamborghinis.
Before we go any further go back and watch the first 23 seconds of the video. Maybe twice.
Great, now we can continue. Though calling something the “best sounding,” and especially using absolutes when talking about something as subjective as exhaust notes, there’s something to be said for the 661 hp V12. That big power is sent to all four wheels of the Murcielago SV. The V12 in the SV makes more power than the “garden variety” Murcielago V12 thanks to an improved intake and valvetrain. What’s most surprising about the video is how each of the SVs has a distinctly different exhaust note. This is down to exhaust choice and each brings out its own rendition of that wonderful V12 music.

The pair of Lamborghini Murcielago SVs are owned by the same person, someone who obviously has great taste and a proper sense of life priorities. As you might expect from someone who owns two examples of the same car, they’re not identical. The green one has the comfort seats, and the orange one has the sport seats. Inside, both are covered in a combination of Alcantara, which is said to be lighter than leather, and carbon fiber. These particular models are allegedly the best drivers car in the Murcielago family, too. Many contemporary reviews claimed that they break from Lambo tradition of a vehicle that was always on the edge of control. Since SV models are typically released towards the end of a model’s life cycle it makes sense that it would also be the best of the breed, too.
Many of these will live pampered climate-controlled lives in a collector’s garage. With these two, we’re glad these two are being driven as they should be.
