2018 Porsche 911 GT3 Front in Viper Green

Custom-painted Porsche 911 GT3 is practically new, with only 400 miles on the odometer.

If you have been searching for a very-lightly-used 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 in a rare color, you are in luck. Forum member “Blazed” has his paint-to-sample 991.2 GT3 listed in the marketplace and thanks to a combination of low mileage and a $23,000 paint correction job, this 911 might actually be nicer than it was the day that it rolled off of the assembly line.

With a current asking price of $212,000, this car comes with a bit of a seller’s premium, but based on what the OP has seen in terms of used pricing of the 991.2 GT3, he is basically asking market price.

The Introduction

When the OP first listed his 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 for sale, he provided the following information.

I’m considering parting ways with my GT3 for the right offer as I’ve received an allocation for a ‘19 GT3 RS. The car is perfect and I’m very impressed with it in every way possible, but I’d prefer to use the funds toward the new 3RS rather than keep both. Needless to say the car is essentially brand new with just over 300 miles. This will rise very slowly as my work schedule is very hectic right now and I’m unable to drive the car as much as I’d like. It has never been redlined or driven in an abusive manner and is always garage kept. I had a very thorough professional detail and paint correction done when it first arrived so the paint is perfect, as is the interior.

This GT3 is fully loaded with all the right options and has a very high MSRP of $190k (taxes/fees, registration, and paint correction cost me an additional $23k). This is a rare opportunity for someone as the car is well priced for the current market. I know it’s been said before but pictures do this color absolutely no justice! Viper Green is stunning in person and is incredibly vibrant, much more so than other shades of green. I really love the new .2 GT3 and have never been so happy with a car purchase! If anyone is genuinely interested and would like more info or pics please feel free to contact me anytime. This is a private party sale so most buyers pay no sales tax depending on location of residence.

Stunning GT3

As you can see in the images here, this 991.2 Porsche 911 GT3 looks incredible from every angle. The OP calls it “Kermit the Hulk” and between the radiant Viper Green paint and the 500 horsepower engine mated to a manual transmission, it is a powerful, green monster for sure.

In addition to the bright green custom paint and the yellow brake calipers, this car features a black-and-grey interior chock full of leather and suede, but the exterior view is clearly the star of this show. Then again, with only 400 miles since the car was built and a $23,000 paint correction, it should be beautiful.

Pricing Figures

Unfortunately, the OP doesn’t list the options on the vehicle, but with his statement of the car being “fully loaded”, we can assume that it has every major option offered. As mentioned, the car has an MSRP in the $190,000 range and when you add in the cost of paint correction, the OP has over $213,000 invested in the car. At first, he was asking $220,000, presenting a premium over MSRP of roughly $35,000, but with the price dropping to $212,000 at the last update, the seller’s premium has dropped to roughly $27,000.

"Before I was old enough to walk, my dad was taking me to various types of racing events, from local drag racing to the Daytona 500," says Patrick Rall, a lifetime automotive expert, diehard Dodge fan, and respected auto journalist for over 10 years. "He owned a repair shop and had a variety of performance cars when I was young, but by the time I was 16, he was ready to build me my first drag car – a 1983 Dodge Mirada that ran low 12s. I spent 10 years traveling around the country, racing with my dad by my side. While we live in different areas of the country, my dad still drag races at 80 years old in the car that he built when I was 16 while I race other vehicles, including my 2017 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and my 1972 Dodge Demon 340.

"Although I went to college for accounting, my time in my dad’s shop growing up allowed me the knowledge to spend time working as a mechanic before getting my accounting degree, at which point I worked in the office of a dealership group. While I was working in the accounting world, I continued racing and taking pictures of cars at the track. Over time, I began showing off those pictures online and that led to my writing.

"Ten years ago, I left the accounting world to become a full-time automotive writer and I am living proof that if you love what you do, you will never “work” a day in your life," adds Rall, who has clocked in time as an auto mechanic, longtime drag racer and now automotive journalist who contributes to nearly a dozen popular auto websites dedicated to fellow enthusiasts.

"I love covering the automotive industry and everything involved with the job. I was fortunate to turn my love of the automotive world into a hobby that led to an exciting career, with my past of working as a mechanic and as an accountant in the automotive world provides me with a unique perspective of the industry.

"My experience drag racing for more than 20 years coupled with a newfound interest in road racing over the past decade allows me to push performance cars to their limit, while my role as a horse stable manager gives me vast experience towing and hauling with all of the newest trucks on the market today.

"Being based on Detroit," says Rall, "I never miss the North American International Auto Show, the Woodward Dream Cruise and Roadkill Nights, along with spending plenty of time raising hell on Detroit's Woodward Avenue with the best muscle car crowd in the world.
