Petersen Museum 2024 Ferrari Cruise-In Is a Mainstay for Fans
With 2024 being a massive turnout compared to just the 75th celebration in 2022, The Petersen Museum renews ties with both Ferrari and Italy itself.
The Annual Ferrari Cruise-In, hosted at the esteemed Petersen Automotive Museum, stands as an unparalleled gathering, solidifying its position as one of the premier Ferrari events on the west coast.
Held on Sunday, February 25, this collaborative effort between the museum and the Southwest Region of the Ferrari Club of America drew enthusiasts from far and wide for some killer Prancing Ponies from the Greater L.A. region and more. Enthusiasts exhibiting their own Ferraris pay a nominal fee, which includes admission to the museum.

The event showcased not only the quintessential Rosso Corsa-painted Ferraris but also a remarkable assortment of models in diverse colors, reflecting individuality among a sea of red, speckled with white, black and yellow, too.

Why It Remains So Popular
Ferrari and the Petersen have a pretty extensive history, and the museum has some exquisite examples, including the 1952 Ferrari Barchetta. And, in good taste, they have celebrated the late Enzo Ferrari’s life and legacy over the years with exceptional exhibits.
Standing amidst this sea of Italian excellence, attendees were sprawled from top-to-bottom on the parking structure, thanks to the event’s complimentary admission. Ferrari’s rich heritage was on full display on the top floor Petersen Museum parking lot, featuring a spectrum of models spanning from timeless classics like the 308 GTS and the legendary F40. Of course, the F8 Tributo, 488 Pista, and 812 Superfast also made their respective landings, but the F40s were the main crowd pleasers.
The reason this always a hot-button event is because the Petersen has curated exhibitions dedicated to Ferrari, providing visitors with a comprehensive look at the automaker’s storied history, technological advancements, and cultural impact. As such, The Petersen serves as a platform for owners, fans and collectors to marvel at these gems, fostering a vibrant community of enthusiasts. Since it is also free to attend and free family-friendly, it remains a hub for experts and newcomers each year, and continues to grow.

Legendary Ferrari F40
Revered as the epitome of supercar engineering and built with a singular focus on raw performance devoid of luxuries, the F40 remains a timeless symbol of Ferrari’s pursuit of speed and innovation.
Equally mesmerizing was the presence of the 575 GTZ by Zagato, a bespoke creation that melds Ferrari’s modern engineering with timeless design cues reminiscent of the marque’s illustrious past. With only a handful ever produced, each exemplar embodies the vision of its discerning owner, commanding admiration and commanding prices in the realm of millions.

While the F40 and 575 GTZ stole the spotlight, the event featured a diverse lineup of Ferraris, including classics like the 328 and modern marvels like the F8. Among these, the understated elegance of the 599 GTB, painted in Grigio Silverstone, stood out—an embodiment of Ferrari’s legacy of blending performance with sophistication.
The success of the Ferrari Cruise-In at the Petersen Automotive Museum underscores its status as a must-attend event for enthusiasts and aficionados alike. As anticipation builds for the next installment in 2025, enthusiasts are urged to mark their calendars, ensuring they don’t miss the opportunity to immerse themselves in the passion and prestige of the Ferrari marque. For members of the Tifosi, this event promises an unforgettable celebration of automotive excellence.
