Porsche 918 Spyder Nearing One Million Test Miles

Only five months remain before the 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder goes into production. Yet, Porsche’s engineers are working hard to ensure that the hybrid sports car delivers every possible last ounce of performance. To keep interest in the car elevated, Porshce just released this short video showing the 918 Spyder undergoing testing under the blistering Nevada Sun. Of course, the testing includes a brief drive through of Las Vegas, because Las Vegas.

The video doesn’t really reveal anything new, but it’s fun to watch this car nearing one million test miles (!) and we’re getting excited about it going into production. The sounds it makes are pretty awesome and around the 0:38 mark you can hear the car switch from whirring electric power to growling, glorious engine noise.
