Right now, it’s very likely someone you know is walking around their neighborhood trying to capture creatures in the Pokemon GO game on their phone. That person might be you.

Porsche, the German company famous for its 911 sports car, recently wrapped up its best-ever first quarter of sales – thanks primarily to the Chinese market and the Macan SUV. Go figure.

Porsche had a good 2014. A very good 2014. For the year, the delivered a total of 189,850 new cars, SUVs, and 918 Spyders. This represents a 17% increase over 2013, and means that VAG’s highest profit margin marque is still making the company money.

Porsche created an elaborate “Magic Mirror” at the Westfield Century City Mall out in Los Angeles. The device allowed more than 900 drivers to see themselves pull up in a Macan, no matter which car they were actually in.

Electrification is coming folks, but it might not be coming to everything just yet, at least at Porsche that is. According to Porsche’s hybrid guru Manfred Schurmann, while the company did just stick the same hybrid drive train from the Panamera into the Cayenne, that same approach probably won’t be throughout the rest of Porsche’s lineup.
