A Turbo Ferrari for Everyone! M458-T…Too Bad About the Name
You get a turbo Ferrari! You get a turbo Ferrari! WE ALL GET TURBO FERRARIS! Ok, so maybe we all don’t get turbo Ferraris, but that’s the way Ferrari’s of the future will definitely be heading.
Ferrari started off its latest round of turbocharging the prancing horse with the California T model that debuted earlier this year. Now, they’ve released that the next generation 458 will also be turbocharged.
Unlike most mid-cycle refreshes, the new Ferrari will not only have a fresh new face, although I’m not sure the old one can be said to be all that ugly, but also received a pair of turbos.
The new engine will likely develop a whopping 670 hp! Sure it’s no Hellcat, but when you weigh half the amount of a Hellcat, and still develop only 30 less horsepower, it’s sure to be quick.
The only problem? The name. It’s called the M458-T. BOOOOOO. Come on Ferrari, lets figure out a good name. How about bringing back the Stradale nameplate, or Scuderia. Something!
M458-T sounds like a part number for a catheter in a hospital, “um yes nurse, please bring me the M458-T catheter for this man, just make sure it’s not the M452-V.”
