Unique Rides Up for Auction at Barrett Jackson

Three of the charity vehicles slated to go on the block this Saturday at Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale, AZ auction are unique creations that have either had the world breathless in anticipation or pay tribute to radical revolutionaries in the industry.

The 2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray debuted this past weekend at the NAIAS to much acclaim, after a long PR-fueled build-up. It will be auctioned off to support the College for Creative Studies.

The 2012 Chevrolet COPO Camaro is the last production model of this drag-race ready factory model, with proceeds to benefit the American Heart Association. It’s got a COPO 327 engine featuring a 4.0L Whipple supercharger, for an NHRA-certified output of 550 horsepower.

The 2013 Shelby  GT500 Cobra Fastback was built in tribute to the late, great Carroll Shelby and will support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.  It makes 850 hp because race paint is nice, but Shelby would have been more interested in fast.

Each vehicle has a place in modern automotive history, and each should fetch an outstanding price for its charity.

But the question is, which would you rather have?
