Richard Hammond of the Grand Tour suffered a terrible crash this weekend in Croatian Rimac Concept_One super car.

Poor, old Richard Hammond can’t seem to catch a break. This past weekend, misfortune again struck for Hammond. While driving the Rimac Concept_One for a Grand Tour segment, things went sideways, literally. After coming into a corner too hot, the host lost control of the car, resulting in a snap oversteer situation. What resulted was a rather serious crash as the car tumbles down the hillside.

Fortunately, Hammond was able to escape the still running vehicle. It caught flame only a moment later and promptly burned to the ground. He was then airlifted to a nearby hospital, and found to have a fractured knee from the crash.

Video of the accident has surfaced. While it does showcase the accident, the video is safe for viewing, and not particularly gruesome. Fortunately, as noted above, the Amazon presenter was able to escape the crashed vehicle, and emergency services were on-site to tend to him immediately.

The Rimac Concept_One is the first super car to come from Croatia. It is poised to be one of the fastest, and most capable electric cars to ever be created.
