Watch Ruf’s Latest Run 192mph on the Autobahn

35 years ago, RUF started their work of turning Porsche’s 911 into something they could call their own. To celebrate that glorious moment in automotive history, Ruf has built a new car: The RT 35. And, like the Porsche Turbo they worked on 35 years ago, the Rt 35 is an absolute mad man.

They’ve moved onto using the 991 as a base for the car. Though, unlike the currently available 991s, Ruf’s green giant is bi-turbo beast. It makes 630 bhp at 6,500 rpm, and 650 lb-ft of torque from 3,000 – 3,500 rpm. I believe the term “beastly” is a fair assessment. Of course, like all Ruf’s, they’ve changed the exterior completely. It may have the silhouette of a Carrera, but no one is going to mistake this for plain-jane Porsche on the road.

Still pictures are nice and all, but it’s always better to see things in motion. Like, say, sprinting to nearly 200mph on autobahn. The only thing more impressive than this thing’s speed is it’s ability to stop. Amazing car.
