In what has to be the most insane car ever to be put into production by an automaker, Nissan, the makers of the Leaf electric vehicle, have green lit the absolutely mad GT-R Nismo powered Juke R CUV.

That’s right, the littlest SUV Nissan makes, will be receiving the almighty twin-turbocharged V6 engine out of the Nissan GT-R Nismo and you’ll be able to buy it—for the right price.

A few years ago, one of Nissan’s engineering teams debuted a Juke R with a salvaged GT-R drivetrain. A stripped-out monster that flipped the entire internet on its head. Since then, a few other shops have performed the conversion, and one of these Juke R’s is even racing in World Rally X.

However, according to a new report, Nismo is planning to produce a select few of these awesome abominations in house, and those examples will be sold off to the public. While the report hasn’t been confirmed by Nissan or Nismo yet, the idea of Nissan building these Juke R’s isn’t that crazy of an idea for a company that’s been called out on its lack of soul numerous times.

That said, the expected price of just under $600,000 might make a few people think twice. Especially when you can get the exact same drivetrain with more performance for only $150,000 in the Nismo GT-R. But then again, it isn’t a funky Juke R now is it?
