Yes, a Hayabusa-Powered Jet Ski is a Thing and It is Awesome!
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be on the Starship Enterprise as it goes to warp speed? From a dead stop to faster-than-light nearly instantly? For some, launching a Bugatti Veyron provides a similar feeling. If you want to get that rush on the water, it’s even easier – and cheaper. Just drop a Suzuki Hayabusa engine into a jet ski and you’re all set.
Out of the box, jet skis and waverunners really aren’t that slow. They can easily out-accelerate other forms of watercraft and can easily get unfamiliar riders into lots of trouble very, very quickly.
So, why would you decide to remove your jet ski’s plebian engine and drop in a bespoke Hayabusa power plant? Because reasons. The Hayabusa engine is awesome and that’s all there is to it.
In addition to the instantaneous acceleration seen in the video above, what’s also obvious is that the lake is far too small to experience the full power and speed of this beast.
