TiAL Alpha 30r’s – Stock motor race gas results!

We had a chance to get our Tial Alpha 30r test car back on the dyno today for some additional race gas tuning.

The car is a 100% stock motor car, running MS-109 race gas and roughly 1.55 bar of boost.

On our in- house Mustang Dyno, the car produced 724 WHP and 776LB/FT of TQ AWD! Just for reference, a 100% stock 996TT makes around 330 AWHP on this dyno. Here is a little peak of the dyno sheet:

Excellent. Are you using 3071's or 3076's?

Incredible numbers! Is that the highest dynoplot on a stock motor that you know of?

Do you think the HP falling off after 5750 is due to intercoolers? Or some type of induction issue?

Edit:
by my calculations, the turbos are running out of compressor at that power level

great numbers indeed !! awesome !!! but liek tx godl said, it realy dies at 5750 ,

Tial ,how can it it be running out of steam at those numbers ? you claim that your turbos are 58 lbs comp. yet die off , when i have seen the inferior(according to you) 52 lbs comp. on regular 3076 's pull harder and not die off up top?i know 3076's are good for alot more power then that ....

my guess is theres a restriction issue somehwere, choking and not getting enough air? restrictive exhuast ?

I am not taking anything away from this thread what so ever please dont get me wrong that is why i am asking what mods are related to this..

you really need to know what the heck you are talking about before you go and make stupid comments like this....this is not a 3076 dyno, it's a 3071 rated at 48lb/min....PLEASE research what you are talking about before posting

How is it stupid to observe that the power is dying off...the graph illustrates that fact explicitly?

That is why we are asking about the supporting mods.

observe power dropping off, then reading and quoting my post regarding why it is dropping off, then make comments based purely on assumption....how dumb is that?

this isn't the first time unvmym3 has spoken with no real direction/knowledge of what was being talked about

Cory, some food for thought. You ever wonder why your dyno numbers go for a sudden roller coaster? That would be a jack up of timing right at the end because you are on a high octane fuel.

Think about it this way yours peaks then falls 50hp and stays that way right till the end. Notice how Tony's just lets it go down instead of cranking up timing right at the end? I'm sure he could make it hold the power but at what cost?

You've also got to consider that he's making a good bit more power than you... Probably on the upwards of 60-70rwhp if not more on a Dynojet. He really isn't trying to push the motor hard when it's up that high! I am not saying your car didn't make great power, because it mad some insane power, but this car will make more power if you all dyno on the same dyno (on the same day).

Just an observation,
when most speak of 30r on 6 speed we usually assume they are gt3076rs with .82s...
maybe that is where the misunderstanding arose...

But since we are given to opportunity to examine the dyno it would be great to know what turbo is is exactly and what A/R is is using...
other mods list would be appreciated as well.. it only is beneficial for all...
good jpb,
markski
