My condolences to Ben's family and also the family of the passenger.

 

We were just conversing about how wonderful children are, and being a father. I am shocked. I am saddened. I am horrified. This world has lost a great person, father, and husband. The heavens now have a wonderful soul. My prayers and thoughts to those left behind. My own mortality has just been rammed down my throat. God bless.

I am so stunned, I cannot believe this. Like others have said I never meet Ben but feel he was a friend. Think about friends you have met in person and how often you talk to them. We talk to each other nearly everyday and I didn't realize how much this would affect me. You are all like close friends to me whether I have met you or not and it is hard to explain to someone outside this forum how this can affect you. I told my wife this morning about this tragedy and I know she thought I was crazy.

I hope I don't offend anyone but I feel like I need to offer a prayer here on the forum.

Dear God,

We are all so deeply saddened and hurt over the loss of someone we cared about. I don't understand why bad things happen to good people but I know you have a plan for us all and you are ultimately in control of everything. I pray right now for Ben's wife and daughter and family. I ask that you would wrap your loving arms around them give them peace and comfort. Help them to feel your presence and to feel the prayers of so many others. I would ask you to be with Cory's family as they are dealing with an incredible tragedy.

I ask that you would be with all of us as we grieve the loss of a close friend. Please help us to cherish the family and friends in our life and live each moment to the fullest. Help those close to Ben to cling together and seek you for help through this difficult time.

Keep us all safe today and bless our wives, children and family's. In Jesus name I pray.

Having learned this sad and tragic news yesterday evening, I just finished reading the now much longer thread. God Bless the families and friends of Ben and Cory. I never had the privilege of meeting either gentleman but I was always a fan of Ben’s posts as his comments were the constructive, polite and genuine thoughts of someone who had a passion for cars and a love of life.

Take a moment to reflect; hug those you love, tell them you love them every chance you can. Live and love with the compassion that Ben did and you will be doing exactly what he would have wanted.
