2002 turbo with 49500 miles for $59k, hit or skip?
Hi, I currently own a 2004 audi S4, but lately have had this recurrent weird dream of trading it in for a 996tt. Is it serious doctor?
Seriously, I found this 2002 turbo 6speed in autotrader with 49k miles for $59k. There is a very small crack on the front, the front right fender is scratched, and the passenger left side back leather has 5 or 6 small holes (due to child seat I am told). Carfax is clean, maintenance record is good.
I will have a PPI done on it. But here are a few questions I have:
1. Is 59k a good price for this car?
2. It's private seller. But can we have it CPO'd through a dealership? How much, and how many years/miles warranty can I get from it?
3. Is it easy to retrofit a Porsche navigation system on a 02 tt, and how much?
4. Anything else I should be aware of?
thanks

Word of advice: it's a buyers market out there right now for 996TT's. Hold off till you find the right one. Too many miles and little things wrong with this one, and the miles are way too high for the price.
Shop around, you'll find one that's in real nice shape with much lower miles in that price range.
Good luck in your search, and post us some pics when you get one!

I made the same move myself. Once I made the switch I havn't looked back. I found a 2002 with 9k on it for a great price. Keep shopping around and you will find the right one.

Mileage is average for the year, but still high in my book. BTW, resale on 996TT has been a real life stock crash hasn't it??? Guess I'll just have to drive mine to the ground, then rebuild it!

Welcome Hly, I went from a 2004 S4 to a TT last March (yep, just a few months before the drop really began) There are ALOT of cars out there. If I had it to do over I would definately look into getting a modded one from one of the guys here....save some time and a bunch of $ (if you're going to mod). I made the mistake of joining this board AFTER I bought my car
This is a 2002 996TT with 22K miles - buy it now ONLY $49900, probably is a scam though....

But if it's an authentic ebay auction, the dealer actually selling it, this is the lowest 996TT price I've seen!

"HOWEVER, this car was involved in a minor front-end accident resulting in an airbag deployment."
I'd say the price is about right.
I don't know much about Porsche fitment (I'm shopping for one right now), but in the head-on front end pic the fender/hood/bumper fitment looks a little "off". I love the color combo and the price sure is tempting, assuming the repairs were done properly.
