Here's the official 991 Turbo/S site. Configurator online now.
Saw this on Rennteam.
http://www.porsche.com/microsite/911...14T_OWN_DEU-HP And it's now on the configurator: http://www.porsche.com/germany/models/911/ Starting prices are 162K Euro and 195K Euro. 30K price hike over the previous model. Here are the performance claims. Not going to translate. It's obvious. It's even wider than the 4S it seems :O
|
|
Twin turbo (not triple turbo as was widely rumored). Still, fingers crossed that the lag is finally gone in this edition!

Dubai Porsche website has a web special on if anyone is interested.

The look of New 991T is not as good looking as GT3:(
|
The price hike isn't 30k, it's only about 11k or so. The 997 turbo started at 151k EUR.

There is no doubt that it will be an incredible performer, but I had personally hoped for a much more aggressive look.

Well, the US configurator still lists the 997 models and they start at 137K and 160K here in the US, and that's in USD. I assumed the German prices were relatively comparable. Not sure. Either way, that's a hell of a lot of money for a 911. 200K Euro for a Turbo S? Can think of a lot of better cars for that kind of money.

Euro prices are useless to compare US models. These are much less expensive in the US.
GT3 DE 137K Euro US 130K USD It's often the case that the cars retails for very similar amounts, just in difference currency. So if the Turbo S is 195K Euro, I don't think 185K USD is out of the question. |
