Okay, I'm in. Order placed!

So, after much deliberation, I have decided to place an my order.

Spoke to my dealer yesterday, and will get their first allocation. Order in and locked.

Here is my spec...

White
Black/Carrera Red interior
Light design package
Seat heat/ventilation
18 way adaptive sport seats
20 inch turbo S wheels
Burmester package
Power steering
Fire extinguisher
Sunroof
Voice control
Telephone module
Luggage net in footwell
Center tunnel in leather
Crests on headrests

Should be here in December. Almost did GT Silver and glass sunroof, but decided against it.

Congrats on the order. Nice build. Now the painful (and seemingly never ending) wait begins.

I called up my dealer yesterday and canceled the glass sunroof and ordered seat ventilation as well.

Do you still have your california? How has that experience been so far?

991TT Jun 2, 2013 05:40 AM

Congrats ... nice build ... i hope you enjoy it in a good health :D

California experience has been great. Love the car, it drives exceedingly well (I have mine lowered .75 inches with Novitec springs) and has great presence.

I am at a decision point of whether to upgrade to a 458 Spider (at almost a 75k premium over my current 260k California), or make another move.

I truly believe that the 991 turbo/turbo S compares to a 458. Sure, the 458 is an exotic in more of the true sense because of the sheer likelihood of running into another one on any given day in most of the world. However, I believe that the turbo/turbo S is no different. There aren't that many out there everyday. Ferrari purists will argue that on any given day there is no comparison, but I think that simply is not true.

I will miss my California, and I am already, in a sense, in "mourning" over the potential move. However, I know this will be the right thing for me.

Curious why the telephone module.

jasonrhcastle Jun 2, 2013 11:07 AM

Where I live GSM service is a little poor at places. Certain phones have a RSAP profile allowing control of SIM card over Bluetooth. With telephone module the car's quad band GSM module can slave my SIM card and use the aerial antenna for enhanced service.

Not clear if you got the TTS or just TT?
Congrats, glad you went with white over silver. Silver is one of the last colors I would choose personally. I would do black, white, gray, dark blue over silver.

jasonrhcastle Jun 2, 2013 11:35 AM

Sorry, didn't realize I didn't clarify.

TTS.

Thanks, and am really looking forward to the white.

Trying to decide if I leave calipers yellow, or paint them red to match up to interior.

I agree with you about the 458. I've had a 458, a Turbo S & now a GT2. The P-cars are everything the Ferrari is - except for the sexiness of the Ferrari. That being said, I am presently putting together my 458 Spider order.
