Porsche 991 Turbo S on HRE S101's

Talk about gorgeous fellas! This '14 Turbo S is just a pure work of art. The owner choose to go for a one off look with a set of HRE S101's that have had the lip paint matched to the vehicle. Let us know what you think about this setup.

I would have prefered an all black wheel but this actually works quite well!

I'm starting to love the 991 Turbo more and more..

Looks like crap and devalues the car. Leave that for SEMA. I hope that's what it was for and not an actual person spec'd that car for daily use on the street. But of course if the owner lives in Miami it would not surprise me.

How does a set of wheels "devalue<s> the car"?

IMHO, 991TS (and I am taking delivery next week) based on price and features, is headed to kind of GT cruiser land. Was thinking today that it is 1/2 way (and before i get flamed...please read i said 1/2 way) to the area occupied by the 928GTS. Super sports car for the rich guy.

Now that these things are going for $200K, I think there is a smaller minority of buyers that want to see the "SEMA" type look. Clearly, there is an important minority, but i see Porsche putting these cars up more as more energetic Sl63s vs. GTR in terms of the typical buyer. But performance wise they still need to compete on the surface with the performance car.

I agree with some of the others...it is the owner's choice and if he/she is happy that is what counts. IMO however, they are too big and garish.

I haven't been by the shop recently, but the owner of the car is probably the owner of WB since he got his Turbo S a few weeks ago. We should be seeing more of this car with different wheel sets in the future.

Pretty simple actually. Who ever does that to a $200K car will find out if they trade or sell the car. Similar to painting your house bright pink. Curb appeal is everything in real-estate after location. On a car gaudy wheels will have the same effect.

You realize wheels can be taken off in minutes and put your oem wheels back on then no harm no foul . This isn't permanent its not a Tattoo
