Opportunity for a june production gt3 or turbo s
I currently have a loaded up (171k) sticker 2013 triple black sl63 AMG power pack.
I don't know why but i have a bug up **** and want the new E63 AMG s 4matic and throw a tune on that...with that 4matic and all that power enough said
so keep the sl and be done or sell the sl and get the GT3 .....or pass on the E AMG and sell the AMG and get a 911 turbo S?

If you are used to the torque of the AMG's definitely go for the Turbo 991 over GT3. The lack of low end daily driving grunt will bother you. I had a 12 E63 not the newer one and liked it for awhile but got bored quickly. Driving fast in a straight line is fun for awhile but there's something about the fun factor the 911 brings that the Merc didn't have. I also am much more excited when I go out to the garage and see my shiny red 991 than I was with the E63. The new E design looks a little soft to me. If you want more of a driving experience than just a fast cruiser go for the Porsche. Hope that helps a little.

I have an 09 SL65 it is a completely different car than my 991 Turbo. Go drive one and see what you think. You will also have to be comfortable with the big boy hit you are going to take on your SL. Probably on the order of 30 percent.

Living in MI, I assume you have another vehicle for the winter? You should do the E63 4Matic and TT combo for year round fun. If you can get a GT3 alloc, then do that instead of the TT.

I just traded my '13 sl63amg with the power pack for a new turbo. really, there is no comparison. you can strap a rocket to a pig's **** but all you have is a fast pig. This is my 10th porsche over 40 years. There really is no substitute.
The sl63 was my first Merc. IMO, it's a wonderfully made drive train wrapped up in crap that breaks and falls off. I thought I was in a corvette.--again, just my opinion.

I've noted before that Turbo S is a great touring car - and if I needed another awd winter car, would have taken delivery of the one I ordered - not as visceral as the GT3 nor as focused - has 4 seats (sorta) - nice car - not great in terms of anything in particular other than the straight light speed and power numbers that is :-) Had my TTS come in a few months back - did not grab me - with the GT3 and the 991S (via the 50th Anny) I just had no interest
Depends on your style and wants.... A better sports car - no . a better grand touring car for all year 'round use - perhaps.....
Similar note on the AMG - the E64 4matic is a killer full four door - slap some good winter tires on and its an all around beast - I put a ton of miles on my C63 Black - and love my SLS Black edition - neither gets any winter use give tires and torque and....
Bottom line - get what grabs you - and hold on for the ride.....
