Update on GIAC Flash???
Not even close, IMHO. Acura has been kicking the NSX 2nd-gen can down the road for YEARS now.
Any idea how much the tune will be ($3000) ? And will the tune be switch on the fly like the Techart ?
Techart utilizes the sport mode button to switch back and forth between stock and modified tune. In addition, fuel is compensated similar to a "flex fuel" method by adding/ replacing/diluting between 91, 93, and 100 or more octane, at will.
By no means am I a Techart Ambassador nor do I recommend one tune over another. I'm simply relaying the information my Technician received from Techart yesterday.
The serious drawback to the Techart is the cost @ $6k vs $3k(?) for GIAC. Techart backs their product with a 2 yr warranty (that claims) if PAG feels the tune was the cause of issue. I do like this piece of mind coverage on my 991tts with 2.6k miles on the clock. But $3000 more ? Maybe one could plan to set 3k aside for GIAC and use the difference for a rainy day ? Who knows.
However, I've decided to take my chances and go with the guys at T. I'll post results once tune, gmg headers and CBE are installed and run at the drag strip. I do have some runs at the strip completely stock so I will provide data as comparison; sorry folk but dyno numbers do nothing for me.:roll eyes:
The winner here is us. Its good to have a choice in tuning options on a platform so new!

S.
plus adds like headers and/or exhaust.

The warranty sounds great, but be very careful with claims like that. Make sure that the warranty is given to you in writing. And make sure that it covers the entire car, not only the TechArt parts.
