Opinions will vary till the end of time. Some of them are just opinions and some are just false information or ignorance. I would recommend you find an experienced, reliable and supportive source and stick with it. That way you can't go wrong especially if you were supported well. I know for a fact that there are several options to setting up your car and meeting most your requirements in this state while having all of the opportunities to keep yourself and your warranty safe and protected. Perfection is difficult. The upgrade game is not for everyone and for some people there is no fit. But for a large percentage of us it's exciting and fun and works out fine. Brings the pleasure of owning a 911 to the next level! I would still extend my offer to you in hopes to earn your business and hope to get you the closest to your goal and full enjoyment.

Cheers

any dealer that won't tune the car under warranty is worthless.

and the IPD Plenum won't give you any extra HP.

I know this is off topic now but hey it's my thread😄. I would think most would NOT recommend or do a tune. You are saying that most dealers would actually do a tune and be ok with it not potentially voiding the warranty?

Some dealers will do a tune and back it and other mods they sell and install up with their own warranty. But that has nothing to do with a Porsche warranty. If your car breaks and Porsche links it to a mod it will not cover the repair.

One well known shop that provides a warranty for its mod work is Champion Motorsports. I believe Jack Daniels Porsche in Ramsey, NJ does as well. Also Techart provides a warranty on its piggyback tune.

SDG exactly what I thought. He said the same thing. The second something goes wrong he said before they warranty they have him run a scan to check that first.

Ok. No more warranty talk that will go on forever. Back on the subject of exhaust.

The comment he made about the cats sounds legit how they can prematurely wear out the O2 sensors. That I found interesting because I was going to do full exhaust with the 200 cel cats.

You should take a close look at our 991TT system. It can be used with either OEM cats or our own cats utilizing HJS substrates. We have OEM tip or 3" dual tip options, which can be swapped at any time on the same system.

The 3" dual tips are available in polished or satin black ceramic.

No drone with this system, either! Fantastic sound quality/note.

We had one owner switch from a very popular system and proceed to sell it, after hearing our 991TT 3.0 X-Pipe with dual tips...

And on sale this weekend, too! ...PM for details.

One way we can help you achieve your emissions goals is to use our X-Pipe with the OEM cats - that gives you the approved CA cat, along with improved sound and 3" dual tips. That is what most 991TT customers end up doing and it's just right for them. Very cost efficient, as well, so a great way to go overall.

Well after a ton of questions and answers, shopping around, analysis and internal debate I have decided to go with the BBI exhaust with the ceramic tips. I couldn't be more excited and now the waiting game begins before install.

Dropped her off yesterday to go under the knife. Very excited. I will have it back Friday. Stay tuned. I will do a separate thread for the review.

I am very interested in hearing the sound from the BBI exhaust system. As for the SpeedTech exhaust system, i will remain skeptical until I have seen some kind of dyno plot and real world owner's experience.

It seems like nowadays anybody including their grandma can make an exhaust for the 991 Turbo

Our grandma does all our welding, do you have a problem with that?

Besides, she helps us with almost everything. Here she is taking another order for a 991 Turbo S Europipe sport exhaust...

LOL!
Stef, I was not directing that comment towards you. I love your exhaust! I have it currently on my 991 Turbo S!

I was referring to some of the other exhaust companies. I'm sure your "grandma" does great weld!
